4분기 영업익 9천억원…1천300%↑ LG Display swung back into the black in the
fourth quarter from the year before, thanks to a surge in operating
income.
Q4 net profit reached 8-hundred-25 billion won, or roughly 700 million U.S. dollars, quite a contrast to previous year's loss of over 11 million.
The world's leading LCD panel maker also saw its operating income shoot up by 14-hundred percent to nearly 800 million dollars.
Key contributing factors: the company's diversified product portfolio, rising panel prices and favorable exchange rates.
LG Display plans to expand its premium product lineup to have a competitive edge over its rivals.
The Korean tech firm's expected to reap further profit as panel prices rise.
