In the far east of Russia, up to 30 thousand people have protested against the arrest of a regional governor.
Sergei Furgal from the Khabarovsk region, , was seized on Thursday and flown to Moscow where he was interrogated and ordered to jail for two months. Russia's main criminal investigation body said he was suspected of involvement in several murders of businessmen prior to his political career.
