Germany is dependent on energy supplies from Russia. The same goes for Austria, Poland, and Bulgaria as well as other east European nations. 

 

Now, Germany looks for alternatives to Russian oil and gas. Coal from Russia will phase out at the end of this year and oil and gas imports may also be reduced, but experts say an immediate phase-out would be possible.
