Published on 2 March 2019
Formula 1 pre-season testing is over, with eight days at Barcelona in the books and very little time for the teams to put to use what they’ve learned in the last couple of weeks. So how do they all stack up? Ben Anderson is joined by Scott Mitchell and Edd Straw to run through the order of the 10 teams, based on a mix of the headline times, long run performance, and how the tests panned out in general for everyone in the pitlane. We won’t have to wait very long to see how different the picture looks when it counts at the Australian Grand Prix

Formula 1 - testing: Red Bull shows pace, and encouraging signs for Mercedes at Circuito Barcelona-Catalunya: Autosport #F1
Published on 26 February 2019
McLaren set the pace on the opening day of the second Formula 1 pre-season test, but all the action that really mattered went on behind Lando Norris on the timing screens. After banking as many laps as possible in week one to prove Honda's reliability, Red Bull gave us a first look at some of the performance it has been hiding under that tightly packaged bodywork. That allowed for some comparisons with Ferrari at last, while the other member of the Big Three - Mercedes - caught the eye with a major update package that could be an ominous sign for its competition

Formula 1 - Mercedes' major F1 update package explained. Circuito Barcelona-Catalunya: Autosport #F1
Published on 26 February 2019
The second Formula 1 test of 2019 has kicked off with Mercedes bringing a raft of new parts to its W10. With the help of images caught by Giorgio Piola in the Barcelona pitlane, Jake Boxall-Legge joins Ben Anderson to run through the changes in detail, from the nose and front wing, all the way through to changes made to the sidepods, floor and just ahead of the rear wing. They also explain why it would be too simplistic to assume these updates are a reaction to what the team saw last week in the first test, which means there could be more to come later in the season.

Mercedes made good on its promise to finally show some pace on the final day of the opening Formula 1 test of 2019, proving it had been holding back on the first three days.
